Behind the scenes
Wow, this was an exciting project! We recently teamed up with Houzz, Neil Patrick Harris, and Solange + Associates to redesign the living area and backyard for Neil’s older brother, Brian, on the latest “My Houzz” episode. Working with such a creative, multi-faceted team was an incredible experience and made for a finished product that we are thrilled about. The video shows the design process from start to finish as well as tells a heartwarming story about family.
Project At A Glance
“As is true with any project, the design was informed by the space itself and the client’s vision and goals for it. Neil’s desire for a thoughtful, eclectic space that reflected Brian’s personality and lifestyle was one key, and the other was the natural light play created by the den’s orientation. Color was a great starting point for the selection of furnishings and art. We layered in texture with finishes such as the recycled glass tile from Spain and the mud-cloth pillows.” — Lisa Samuel
